The goal of the mission is humanitarian support for the children of Ukraine.

PMC's action locations: Wadi Rum (a town in the desert), Zaatari (refugee camp), Al-Azrak (refugee camp).

Budget required for this stage: 110 000 PLN

The situation requires action on many levels: from assistance on the Ukrainian side, support in the border area, to care for those who have already reached Poland. Our main objectives are medical and nutritional aid. In the short term, we are responding to the current needs of local authorities on both sides of the border by providing medicines and helping to build and equip places where mothers with children are arriving: we are securing tents, heaters, bedding, and meals. We are also involved in organizing psychological support.

PMC actively supports the medical and nutritional care of children from Ukrainian orphanages (including disabled children), who are currently staying in centers on the Polish side.

At the same time, we are still working on long-term solutions to ensure continuous access to high-calorie meals. After careful financial calculations and assessing the demand and logistical possibilities, we decided to transport specialized high-calorie pastes, Plumpy’Nut by Nutriset. The price per unit is around 1.20 PLN and provides over 500 kcal.These products are delicious, which is crucial for children.

Nutriset additionally offers to double our order as support for the mission.

Together, we can send a container containing up to 200,000 food rations.On the Ukrainian side, we are cooperating with transport companies responsible for delivering the purchased food and medicines to the most in-need areas.

Plumpy’Nut s a ready-to-eat therapeutic paste made from peanuts, with added vegetable oil, milk powder, vitamins, and minerals. It is distributed in small, sealed single-serving pouches. One package provides 500 kcal! It is used by UNICEF worldwide, particularly in areas affected by humanitarian crises and wherever hunger threatens lives. It is very simple to use – just cut the corner of the pouch and eat its contents.

For 12 PLN, you can support war victims with meals worth 5,000 kcal.

portions:

Nutriset is a producer of high-calorie specialist food for malnourished children and pregnant women, from whom we purchased 250,000 nutritional portions. The total order weighed 12 tons and was delivered to four different destinations in Ukraine. We are working on the next delivery of humanitarian food.
